Not a job listing. A question: Are you the kind of person who’d rather build something than work for someone else forever?
Not anyone. A specific kind of person with a specific set of traits. If this describes you, keep reading.
This work happens in conversations. You have to be willing to have real ones — about money, about what people are afraid of, about what they want for their family. If that sounds uncomfortable, this probably isn’t the right fit. If it sounds like exactly the kind of work you’d rather be doing, keep reading.
There’s a system. There’s a process that works. If you’re willing to learn it and run it, it works. If you need to reinvent everything before you’ve actually done it, this probably isn’t the right fit. The people who build well here are the ones who learn the right way first, then make it their own.
The people we help are making decisions that affect their families for decades. That has to matter to you — not just on day one, every time. This isn’t transactional. It’s relational. If you’re looking to close deals and move on, this isn’t the right fit. If you want to build relationships that last, it might be.
Plain English. No jargon. This is what we actually do in the conversations we have with families.
We help working families understand the gap between the protection they have and the protection they need. Most people think they’re covered. Most people aren’t. We help them see the reality — and do something about it.
We help business owners think through what happens to their income — and their family — if they can’t work tomorrow. Most business owners have a plan for the business. Almost none have a plan for themselves. That’s the conversation.
We help people think about what they want to leave behind — not just assets, but a heritage that reflects what actually mattered to them. What gets passed down. What gets protected. What doesn’t get lost in an estate that nobody planned for.
On November 9th, 2023, I had a cardiac event. I was 45 years old. I sat in that hospital thinking clearly for the first time about what would happen to my family if I didn’t walk out. Not in a theoretical way. In a real way. What happens to them? What did I actually have in place?
I had life insurance. I thought I had enough. I was wrong. The gap between what I had and what my family would actually need was real — and I had spent years telling myself I’d get around to it. That morning I got around to it in the worst possible way.
I got licensed in financial services because I wanted to close my own gap. And then I started having conversations with the people around me — ranchers, business owners, people like me — and I realized they all had the same gap. Same situation. Same assumption that they were probably fine. Almost nobody had actually sat down and looked at it.
So that’s the work. I’m not looking for 100 people. I’m looking for a few people who are serious, coachable, and want to build something that matters. If you’ve read this far, you might be one of them.
Most of these pages tell you this is for everybody. It isn’t. If any of these describe you, there are better options and I’d rather you know that now than six months from now.
If you’re still reading — you’re probably the right kind of person.
A 30-minute conversation. Kyle answers your questions. No pitch. If it’s not a fit, you’ll know and you won’t have wasted more than half an hour of your life on it.
